Weber Q-140 uses electronic technology for grilling food. It is silver colored and has stainless steel grates again crusted by porcelain. The reflective surfaces (read silver) allow adequate heating of the cooking grates through smart electricity. It operates with 120 volts and works out 1560 watts. The lid and bowl are made of cast aluminum for strength, look and lightness. The nylon grill frame is strengthened with glass. Total cooking area is about 189 sq. inches.

It retains heat quite nicely for a good period due to its reflective make up. Cleaning is easy with a removable catch pan. Ignition is obviously automatic. The purchase comes with a cookbook for ready use and a 6-feet grounded cord to earthen and for other reasons.

Our Review

This is not highly portable due to the grounded cord. Electronic cooking ensures less pollution in the kitchen. Size is small and thus it cannot be meant for a large family. Durability quotient is good though and there is a 5-year warranty to support that. Cleaning the equipment is quite easy. Nylon frames allow some storage capacity.

The silver make allows temperature to be retained and produced almost in the same capacity as a gas grill. For its use and small size, it seems slightly on the expensive side however. Grates are heavily resistant to heat and weather.

In conclusion

One feels it is an investment only for bachelors. It is adequately durable and releases very little dirt. Its high temperature retention is a very strong point ion its favor.
